SEN Carer for 8-year-old boy Portsmouth (POSTED 29.8.25)

We are looking for a caring, reliable person to support our 8-year-old son, for around 2 hours per week (with the potential for more hours during school holidays).
Our son has Malan syndrome, which comes with learning difficulties, speech and language delay, and some challenging behaviours. He is a lovely, gentle boy who can find transitions and big emotions very difficult to manage, so ideally we need someone with SEN experience who feels confident supporting children with complex needs.
The role would involve spending time with our son at home or out in the community, helping him feel safe, calm, and engaged. He loves trains, playing outside, and being active.
We already have two carers in place and are now looking for a third person to join our small team. Having more people involved will help provide consistency and support for our family.
Hours:
2 hours per week (day and time can be flexible)
Potential for additional hours during school holidays
This role is funded through Direct Payments. A DBS check will be required.
If you are interested or would like to know more, please get in touch.
Thank you,
Faye
